In this edition of our Employee Spotlight, we are delighted to introduce you to Danielle Dunn, one of the original team members at MetrumRG. Danielle's journey with the company has been one of unwavering dedication and commitment. For nearly two decades, she has been an integral part of our growth and success.

Danielle joined MetrumRG in 2004 as an Accounting Manager, but before that, she brought her skills to the classroom at both the middle and high school levels. Her exceptional performance at MetrumRG quickly earned her a promotion to Senior Accounting Manager, a position she holds today. In her current role, she oversees all financial reporting and manages the daily operations of the accounting department. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to financial excellence are vital in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization.

When asked what she values most in her experience working at MetrumRG, Danielle's response is a testament to the company's culture and values: "I love working with such an innovative and dedicated team. It's humbling and inspiring to work alongside such talented individuals who devote themselves tirelessly to our shared mission of defeating disease. MetrumRG has offered me the opportunity to be the best version of myself, to strive for excellence in the work that I do, and to make a difference. Serving others, doing important work, collaborating with wonderful people—that's pretty special!"

MetrumRG's core values are at the heart of everything we do, and Danielle identifies with two of them in particular:  “I think excellence and service are the two guiding principles that are most important to me. With my work in accounting, expertise, quality, and integrity top the list of my day-to-day goals. This quality of excellence is infused throughout MetrumRG—it's what this company is grounded on—and it's a big motivator for me in my work. The service part is also key. I want to be excellent in my service to both our internal customers and our external clients. I am a former teacher, and I have a heart for collaborating with others, so service is really important to me.”

Outside of her professional life, Danielle enjoys a fulfilling and well-rounded life. She cherishes spending time with her husband, Peter, and their daughter, Claudia. Her hobbies range from reading, cooking, and singing, to decorating and gardening. She relishes coffee dates with friends and stays connected with her extended family, valuing the importance of relationships.

One of Danielle's dreams is to master the clarinet and play "Gabriel's Oboe," a piece that deeply moves her, even though it's originally written for the oboe. Her pursuit of this musical aspiration is a reflection of her determination and passion for personal growth. She is currently dusting off her piano skills and has recently started taking piano lessons from her daughter.

A quote that resonates with Danielle is "Be who you are and be that well" by St. Francis de Sales. It illustrates her commitment to authenticity and excellence in everything she does.

When it comes to staying active, Danielle loves walking while listening to a podcast or an audiobook, enjoying upbeat music, or simply savoring the fresh air. In the winter, she and her husband, Peter, embrace the snowy landscape with snowshoeing adventures. During warmer months, a leisurely walk along the coast adds a touch of relaxation to her day.

Given the opportunity to have dinner with anyone, Danielle's choice is heartwarming: "My husband and daughter because they make my heart so happy. In fact, I'll enjoy dinner with them tonight!" It's a reminder of the importance of family and cherished moments in our lives.
