We're excited to shine the spotlight on Kiersten Utsey, a valued member of our team here at MetrumRG. Her primary focus involves utilizing mechanistic modeling and simulation to support decision-making processes throughout various stages of drug development. This entails synthesizing data from diverse sources, including in vitro studies, animal models, and clinical trials, to construct models that describe both the mechanism of action of drugs and the underlying physiology of diseases. Kiersten initially joined MetrumRG as a Quantitative Systems Pharmacology Intern while working on her Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Utah. After graduating from the U, Kiersten transitioned into a role as a research associate at MetrumRG. Quickly advancing, she became a research scientist in our Translational Science and Pharmacology (TSP) group.
